What differentiates one skilled nursing & rehabilitation center from another? The answer is... the people who work and reside there! The people set the tone, the atmosphere, and the expectations. At The Laurels of Heath, we take great pride in ensuring that everyone feels like part of our family and that they are treated as special "guests" in our home.

The Laurels of Heath employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.

Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Heath is directly employed, not "contracted". Each Team Member takes great pride in portraying "The Laurel Way of Caring", as they strive for excellence in providing only the highest standard of care and services to every guest, and to every family member and visitor. Marsha Link

Administrator

Marsha lives in Heath and joined The Laurels of Heath as the Administrator in 2019. Prior to her time with Laurel Health Care Company, Marsha worked in Activities, Marketing, Social Service and served as Administrator in long-term care. Marsha has a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration and an Associate’s in Business. She obtained her Nursing Home Administrator license in 2010. Marsha has always had a passion for long-term care and enjoys being an Administrator. She hopes that her passion will help to make a difference in the lives of her guests, their families and her staff. Marsha is married with 3 children and 7 grandchildren. The grandchildren keep her very busy with their many activities and she loves every minute of it. Marsha is excited to join Laurel Health Care Company and is looking forward to providing highest quality of care and excellent service to every guest and family member.

Christina Balser, RN

Director of Nursing

Christina has worked in long-term care since 2004. She began her career as a State Tested Nursing Assistant and gradually worked her way up to a Licensed Practical Nurse and eventually a Registered Nurse. She has worked in many capacities, a few of those including: Wound Nurse, Unit Manager and Assistant Director of Nursing. Christina is a very detail-oriented nurse manager who has extra focus on improving Quality Assurance and providing the best care possible. Customer service is extremely important to her and treats each guest with the utmost respect they deserve. Christina served as the Director of Nursing at The Laurels of Worthington and is excited to now direct the clinical team at The Laurels of Heath.

Chasta Mohler

Director of Marketing

Chasta lives in Zanesville and started out at The Laurels of Heath as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2015. Since then she has worked in nursing, management and admissions in the building. She is passionate about providing quality health care and educating the community on options for their loved one. Chasta has 5 beautiful daughters and 2 grandsons. Her children are her pride and joy and they keep her busy and full of life.  In her spare time, you can find her and her family on softball field. She is now excited to take on the new role as the Marketing Director for The Laurels of Heath.
